Brow Correction

Brow correction is a specialized procedure designed to fix or enhance previous permanent makeup or microblading that may have faded, become discolored, or was improperly shaped. If you’ve had eyebrow tattoos that are uneven, too light, or have unwanted color (such as blue/grey/green or pink/orange undertones), brow correction can restore balance and a more natural, flattering look. This technique involves using advanced skills to adjust the shape, color, and density of the eyebrows, providing a refreshed, cohesive appearance. However, it’s important to note that brow correction cannot cover very dark or heavily saturated brows.

As a certified artist trained by BeautySlesh Professional, The Collective by Tina Davies, Sergei Lis and BrowKingdom University, I have mastered advanced correction techniques to restore and enhance brows that have been previously tattooed. Whether you need color correction, shape adjustments, or overall refinement, I tailor each treatment to suit your face shape, skin type, and personal style, ensuring natural and beautiful results.

It lasts between 1–3 years, depending on skin type and lifestyle

Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

Pricing: $400.00

Benefits of Brow Correction

- Color Correction: If your previous eyebrow tattoos have undesirable colors (such as blue, purple, or red tones), brow correction can restore a natural, warm, or cool tone by neutralizing the discoloration.

- Shape Adjustment: Brow correction allows for a more refined and customized shape that complements your natural facial features.

- Smoothing Uneven Areas: If the previous work has unevenness, gaps, or was improperly shaded, correction can fill in those areas, creating a more uniform and defined brow.

- Safe and Non-invasive: Brow correction is a safe, minimally invasive procedure that can significantly improve the appearance of existing permanent makeup without the need for costly or risky laser removal.

- Long-lasting Results: After the correction procedure, your brows will look fresh and well-defined for an extended period, giving you a more polished look with minimal maintenance.

Brow Correction Healing Process
DAY 1: Wow! My brows look bold and dark! The shape is perfect, but the color is way stronger than I expected. I know this will soften!
DAY 2-4: My brows feel tight, dry, and maybe a little itchy. The color is still dark, but I’m trusting the process. No touching!
DAY 5-7: Uh oh…flaking and scabbing have started! My brows look uneven, and some spots seem lighter than others. Must resist the urge to pick!
DAY 7-10: Why do my brows look too light?! Did the pigment disappear?! I remember my artist said this is normal —it’s just part of healing!
DAY 10-14: Thank goodness my brows are slowly coming back! Still looking a little patchy and uneven.
DAY  28-42: Wow! My brows look amazing! The color is even, and the shape is just right. If I need any adjustments, I’ll book my touch-up session for perfecting them.
Just a reminder Brow Correction
Healing is a process that takes time. Some skin will heal faster than others, some skin will retain pigment longer, everyone is different.
Skin, lifestyle, tanning, weather & following aftercare..all these determine your permanent makeup outcome.
Brows will get darker and look uneven during the first stage of the healing process.
They will shed and lighten up to 40% throughout the following weeks.
At the touch-up session we can make slight changes/alteration if needed.
Following the aftercare instructions is a vital part of achieving optimal results!
Neglecting or trying to rush the healing process will result in less than satisfactory results.
⚠️ IMPORTANT! Pre-Care Instructions

To ensure the best results and a smooth healing process, please follow these pre-care guidelines before your appointment:

Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before your appointment, as they can thin the blood and may cause increased sensitivity or bleeding during the procedure.

No Waxing or Tweezing: Avoid waxing, tweezing, or threading your brows 3-5 days before the procedure to ensure the best shape and to prevent irritation.

Avoid Blood Thinners and Painkillers: If possible, avoid blood thinners (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain pain medications) for 3-5 days before the procedure. These medications can increase the risk of bleeding during the procedure and may interfere with the healing process. Please consult your doctor before stopping any medications.

Skip Fish Oil or Omega-3 Supplements: Fish oil and omega-3 supplements can thin the blood, which can lead to excess bleeding during the procedure. It’s best to stop taking these for about a week before your appointment.

Stay Away from Retinoids and Exfoliants: Do not use products that contain retinol, glycolic acid, or other exfoliants on the brow area for at least a week before the appointment.

Avoid Botox or Fillers: If you’ve had Botox or fillers around the brow area, wait at least 2-4 weeks before scheduling your procedure to avoid any interference with healing.

Hydrate: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to help with healing.

No Sun Exposure or Tanning: Avoid sunbathing or tanning 5-7 days before your procedure. Sunburned brows will be more sensitive and may affect the procedure’s outcome.

If You Have Sensitive Skin or Allergies, Notify Me: Let me know if you have sensitive skin or any allergies to the perming solution, as this information will help ensure your comfort and the best outcome.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Hydrated skin helps with pigment retention and promotes better healing after the procedure.

Daily instructions Brow Correction
Day 1-7:
* After procedure, blot the brows with a tissue or dry cotton pad every 10 minutes for the first few hours.
* The goal is to get rid of excess lymph to help speed up the healing time!
* DO NOT wash brows until Day 7. You can wipe your face and around your eyebrows with micellar water.
* Apply Vaseline if there is redness, peeling. crusting. itching or swollen eyebrows. Before going to bed, take a clean Q-tip, put a little Vaseline and carefully place a thin layer on your eyebrows. You can do it 2 times a day, depending on what skin type you have. If your skin is oily/combination, once a day, if normal/dry, twice a day. After 7 days you can start wash your face normally.
Day 1-10:
* DO NOT put anything (makeup, lotions, etc) other than Vaseline on the brows for 10 days or until fully healed. You can wear makeup as usual, just avoid the brow area.
* Enjoy your shower, but try and keep it to a minimum.
Healing tips Brow Correction
  • Do not use a wash cloth or anything abrasive.
  • Do not pick or scratch your tattoo.
  • Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms. pools. lakes/rivers & hot voga during the healing process.
  • Avoid direct sunlight & tanning beds for 2 weeks.
  • Avoid brow makeup, brow or lash tints & any other facial treatments for 10 days.
  • Avoid sweaty exercise for 1 week.
TIPS ON KEEPING YOUR BROWS LOOKING FANTASTIC:

Wear a daily sunscreen to prevent the sun from prematurely fading the pigment in the skin.

If a product lightens, brightens or tightens avoid using it on or around your brows indefinitely.

We recommend yearly touch-ups to maintain the full color and shape.

After applying your makeup foundation, take a damp Q-tip and clean off your brows: this allows the pigment to show through without looking muddled by makeup.

The Process of Brow Correction

1. Consultation: During your consultation, we will evaluate the existing brow work, discussing your desired outcome, color correction, and shape preferences. This is a great time to ask questions and ensure we’re on the same page for your new look.

2. Mapping and Design: First, I’ll draw a sketch based on the previous brow work to determine the best way to improve and adjust the shape

3. Numbing: I apply numbing cream to the brow area to ensure the procedure is as comfortable and pain-free as possible.

4. Pigment Application: Using advanced techniques, the old pigment is carefully modified, and new pigment is added where needed. For color corrections, we use warm, or cool neutralizing tones to counteract unwanted hues, creating a natural and flattering look.

5. Final Touch: After completing the shading, I’ll review the results with you to ensure you’re completely satisfied with your brows. I’ll also provide detailed aftercare instructions along with a specialized ointment to help support and protect the healing process.

6. Touch-Up Session: A touch-up session is recommended to finish the final result and fully cover the previous work. Depending on how bright or saturated the pigment is, 1-2 sessions may be needed to achieve the perfect, long-lasting look.

Side Effects of Brow Correction (TEMPORARY)

- Swelling: Some mild swelling or redness can occur right after the procedure but typically subsides within a few hours to the next day.

- Tenderness: The treated area may feel slightly tender for a couple of days as the skin heals.

- Dryness and Flaking: Light dryness and flaking are normal as the skin heals. Avoid picking at the flaked skin to ensure proper healing and prevent infection.

- Color Changes: After the procedure, your brows may initially appear darker and brighter. As they heal, the pigment will soften and settle into a more natural tone.

- Itching: Itching is common during the healing process. Be sure not to scratch or pick at your brows to avoid disturbing the healing skin and ensuring the best outcome.

- Uneven Color: Minor unevenness in color may be visible immediately after the procedure but typically balances out as the brows heal. A touch-up session may be required for further adjustments.

These side effects are temporary and should subside within a few days to a few weeks. Following the aftercare instructions will help ensure the best results and prevent complications. If you have any concerns during the healing process, don’t hesitate to reach out to me for support.
